Keep Fit with Kelly
FAQs
How much does a class cost?
Keep Fit with Kelly aerobic dance classes cost £4.00 and are chargeable on a pay-as-you-go basis. There is also an incentive scheme where you get 10 classes for the price of 9.
Are there any membership fees?
No. There are no registration or membership fees. You only pay for the classes you attend.
Do I need to book my place?
Booking is not required, just turn up.
What should I wear?
Clothing should allow you to move freely. Shorts, leggings, joggers and t-shirts are fine. Movements can be quick, so leggings and joggers should not be so long that they can be a trip hazard. This also applies to shoe laces.
Do I have to wear trainers or can I go bare foot?
In the early 80's everyone did aerobics bare foot. Then research funded by a famous sports shoe manufacturer concluded that injuries could be prevented by wearing the correct footwear. For aerobics it is recommended that you wear cross trainers as these provide lateral support for sideways movement that is not present in running shoes.
Do I need to bring anything?
It is advised to bring a drink and a towel or mat for floor work. Some of the specific muscle work uses hand weights, but these are optional.
Is there a creche?
There is no creche at any Keep Fit with Kelly classes. However, if babysitters are a problem, well behaved children can sit at the back/side of the hall.
Are there any age restrictions?
Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. If you are aged over 60 it is recommended that you speak to your GP before undertaking a new exercise program.
I'm pregnant, can I still attend class?
Exercise during pregnancy can be beneficial. However, if you have not been exercising regularly pre-pregnancy, now may not be the best time to start. As each pregnancy is different, please speak to your doctor or health visitor about attending classes.
